DACA & Undocumented Student Resources

In response to the barriers that undocumented students face in postsecondary education, some colleges and universities are striving to enhance their undocu-competence– the capacity to serve, support, and advocate for undocumented students.

Educators for Fair Consideration is a project based out of California that offers an array of programs and services that holistically address the needs of undocumented students. Their website contains extensive resources for educators and students.

The Model Campus Safe Zones Resolution language available to download from this page (see links, above) was developed for K-12 school districts that are contemplating adopting protections for their immigrant students.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling hosts a webpage with links to resources on DACA, college readiness and policy impacting undocumented youth.

The Immigration Response Initiative is a student-led organization at Harvard Law School working on several
projects that seek to prevent the erosion of immigrants’ rights. The organization began from a wave of
student interest in immigrants’ rights following the 2016 presidential election.

Resource Guide for Educators Supporting Undocumented Youth

United we Dream is a national immigrant youth-led organization that runs DREAM Educational Empowerment Program (DEEP) to advocate for educational justice. The website contains a list of resources to contribute to the continuous learning, advocacy work and support of the undocumented-immigrant youth community.
