What is National Healing Day?

Established by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the National Day of Racial Healing, presents an opportunity to come together in the name of healing to combat the divisiveness that racism and racist practices perpetuate on January 17th of each year. On this day, individuals, organizations and communities across the U.S. come together to explore their common humanity and build the relationships necessary to create a more just and equitable world.

The National Day of Racial Healing is a special day to acknowledge the values we share, build trust in each other, form genuine connections, and inspire collective action that furthers #HowWeHeal from the effects of racism.  Jan 16, 2024

Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT)

Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) is a comprehensive, multi-year national and community-based process to bring about transformational and sustainable change. Through TRHT, partners address the historic and contemporary effects of racism in their communities and institutions. They work to replace the deeply held belief system that fuels racism with one that sees the inherent value of all people.  This holistic approach addresses mind and heart, the interpersonal and systemic, and places the power of authentic, trust-based solidarity at the center.
