Emergency Medical Technician

It is the mission of the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services & Trauma System to protect the health and safety of people requiring emergency medical services; promote improvements in Arizona's EMS and trauma system through research and education of the public and EMS providers; and provide courteous, professional, and responsible service to the public and EMS providers.

The AAA continues to press the Congress and federal agencies for help to ensure ambulance service organizations and our paramedics and EMTs serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic have the necessary resources and financial assistance to serve their communities. The American Ambulance Association is here to support mobile healthcare providers throughout the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded in 1986, the National Flight Paramedic Association, currently known as the International Association of Flight & Critical Care Paramedics, is the largest independent paramedic association in the world. Our focus is the professional paramedic and our purpose is to serve as advocates to the profession on an international basis. IAFCCP members are involved in transporting critical care patients by airplane, helicopter, and ground ambulance.

Formed in 1975 and nearly 70,000 members strong, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) is the nation’s only organization that represents and serves the professional interests of all EMS practitioners, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, emergency medical responders, and other professionals providing prehospital and out-of-hospital emergent, urgent or preventive medical care.

The National Registry, established in 1970 as a non-profit organization, is the Nation’s Emergency Medical Services Certification organization. The mission of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians has always been centered on protecting the public and advancing the EMS profession.
