CRW150 - Introduction to Creative Writing

Dr. Proctor’s passion for art helped her win the Prosperity seat on Inspiration4. Earlier this year, she created an online art and poetry competition for the employees, faculty and students of Maricopa Community Colleges in hopes that their creations will help inspire the next generation of space explorers! Competitors submitted entries in two categories—Art and Poetry. See the winning entries.

Entries from each of the four categories will be blind reviewed by a panel of experts in the corresponding discipline. Winners in each of the categories will be showcased in Passages, a Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) annual publication dedicated to the competition.

The Tempe Writing Contest accepts submissions of original works of fiction, creative nonfiction (including memoirs and essays) or poetry for the Tempe Writer's Forum. The writings of high school students, college students, and adults will be represented. Sponsored by Tempe Public Library, Arizona State University and The Friends of the Tempe Public Library.
