Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) students, faculty, and staff in good standing may request books and other print resources from local, regional, and national library collections.
Some IDL and ILL requests may not be filled due to owning library restrictions.
Intradistrict Loan is the process of obtaining library materials from other MCCCD Libraries. Please refer to Maricopa Libraries Borrowing Guidelines.
Use the library catalog to request items (Place Hold) from other MCCCD libraries. You may also call the Circulation Desk at 602-787-7200 for assistance.
Plan on 3-4 working days to transfer materials between libraries.
1st email notification to your student Maricopa email and a courtesy call. Please make sure we have your current phone number.
2nd email will notify you that you have 3 days left before the item reaches its 10 day hold limit and is returned to the lending library.
Interlibrary Loan is the process by which one library system requests material from another library system. Please refer to Maricopa Libraries Borrowing Guidelines.
Use ILLiad to request books and copies of articles that the MCCCD libraries don’t hold.
ILL requests are verified by library staff. Partial or incorrect citations may result in ILL request cancelation.
This service is not designed to handle textbook requests.
Please allow 2-4 weeks from the time of the request to the time of fulfillment.
The lending library may impose a service charge or a photocopying fee.
Items are returned to the lending library if not picked up within 7 days of arrival. The requestor remains responsible for all charges.
If the item is not returned, you will be charged the cost of the item.
